We believe in the power of GMGM and Uncle Ted to take the Caps to the cup. Vespas not included. No, we will never get over Varlamov. Yes, we like it when Erskine drunk tweets.

Game Summary:

  • according to Nicky’s brother: Terrible game.. Leaving bye Baltimore (@kbackstrom85)

Judging by the twitter pictures and information and the radio broadcast it sounds like Ovi literally was swimming by the end of the game. We will just say thank goodness that hockey is back……..?

Oh and Nashville wins 2-0 with goals from Chris Mueller and Colin Wilson.
semin stick penalty count: 1 (yes, we will keep count of this all season long)

Happy birdthday you amazing, sexy, GQMF of a captain!

21st December 2010, Mathieu Perreault giving the hard hat to Andrew Gordo after he scored his first NHL goal against the NJ Devils.

Michal Neuvirth made an interview with iSport.cz that you can read a translation here: RMNB.

One of the things that he said is that: “Yeah, that’s a pity [that people consider Tomas Vokoun the first goalie for the upcoming season] but I don’t care who is number one and who is number two right now. It’s summer, the season has not even begun. These talks don’t harm me at all. I’m going to camp with the same position as every year. I want to play as many games as possible, whether at the expense of Tomas Vokoun or Varly. I just want to play.”

What is awaiting for our netminders for the next season? Who knows, it’s still August. But what we do know for sure is that we have two great goalies, one with a lot of experience and one who is just starting his career, who want to give their best. And let’s not forget our amazing third goalie, ready for whenever we need him. Not bad, not bad at all.

People around here are missing the fiercest russian in the NHL, so here he goes.

Merry Christmas in July.

Gordo celebrating his first NHL goal against the NJ Devils, 21st December 2010.

He’s not a Cap or a Bear anymore but he’ll be missed and we wish him all the best with the Anaheim Ducks!

Apparently Sean Avery’s summer job is covering Caps development camp.
